Building Tours for Rising 6th Graders

As summer approaches, we are beginning to think about and plan for our rising 6th grade class. We are very excited for you to join us in the fall! We understand that this involves a transition to middle school and that some of our rising 6th graders will approach this transition with some trepidation. We hope that the kids will enjoy middle school, but it is a new building with new teachers and new students.

To help our students begin the adjustment to middle school, your counselor Mr. Kean (pronounced Kane) will be giving transition tours this summer. He will show students around our wonderful building, discuss the schedule, and talk a little about what it is like to be a middle school student.

The transition tours will be during various times on July 10, July 11, July 18, July 19, July 26 and July 27. There will be ten slots in each tour. If you feel that your child would benefit from having a friend on the same tour, you are welcome to coordinate with other parents. I would ask that you limit the coordination to one or two friends, however. Part of the middle school experience is to meet new people and develop new friendships.
