Math

I'm a New Yorker at heart but was born overseas in Aberdeen, Scotland. I graduated with my Bachelor's from SUNY Fredonia and attained my reading Masters from SUNY Brockport. I use it to help digest key components of word problems that students see in a math context. I enjoy supporting teachers with cooperative structures and management to heighten engagement and increase academic gains in their classes. I love to travel, lay out by the pool, cook, go to church and spend time with friends and family.

I have been teaching mathematics for more than 22 years, from elementary to high school levels. I like to: play chess, computer gaming (DOTA 2), to run, lift weights, swimming, ride my bike, play with my dog (Willow) and spend time with my family.

Originally from New Jersey, I have lived in Arlington for over 30 years. I have been teaching in Arlington Public Schools for 21 years as an Elementary School teacher and am excited to join DHMS. In my free time I like to travel with my family or just relax with our three cats and watch movies.

I am from Maryland. I have taught in Maryland and overseas. I like playing sports and watching movies.

I grew up in New England. I have 2 teenage children and 2 cats. I like to be outside camping, gardening, hiking, walking, anything outside! I read a variety of books; one of my favorites is The Secret Garden.

I was an Army medic from 1989 - 1992. While in the Army, I served in Desert Storm. After serving our country, I went to school to become a math teacher. I have taught middle school, high school, community college and at a few universities. I believe in having a great work ethic. I like helping hard working, struggling math students pass class. I'm incredibly blessed to be able to teach in the town I grew up in! I went to Key, Gunston, and Wakefield. I graduated from JMU with a bachelors in Math. I'm excited to make math your favorite subject!
