  • Picture re-take day is this Thursday, in the auditorium from 8 am – 11 a.m. – order forms are in the office or bring back your picture for a retake.
  • The TAB field trip is tomorrow. Students attending should get a field trip pass from their TA teacher today. We will meet near the auditorium at 9:15 tomorrow. You will need to excuse yourself from your 2nd period class tomorrow. No announcement will be made at that time.
  • Congratulations to our two wonderful Tuesday Teachers! Nathan Garvin and Whitney Field were nominated by their students. Nathan Garvin is one of our sixth grade English teachers. Students said the following about Mr. Garvin: He adds fun into his activities to keep us interested. He is very nice to me and my class. He makes us have so much fun and enjoy class. He is so cool about helping us. He comes up with the best topics to write about. That class I am always the most excited for. That class is the one I would take every single period. He is an amazing teacher! He makes everything we do fun and exciting. Whitney Field is another English teacher in our sixth grade. Students said this about Ms. Field: She is helpful and always creates a good environment in the classroom. She is always very supportive and if you are feeling down, she lifts your spirits right back up! She is very nice and supportive. Congratulations! Ms. Field and Mr. Garvin come on down to show your Phoenix pride! We want you to pose with your wings.
  • The Arlington Food Assistance Center needs your help to feed 2,300 families every week. This holiday season, Phoenix Raising Others through Service (PROS) and Kindness Club are collecting food and coat donations to serve our neighbors in need. Bring your donations to the front of the main office starting November 18 until December 13. The foods needed most are: canned tuna, canned soup, canned vegetables, peanut butter, cooking oil, low sugar cereal. No glass containers, please! Learn more at
  • There will be a Tech Interest meeting after school on Wednesday in the Auditorium for anyone who is interested in working backstage.
  • Reminder: The Newspaper Club is meeting Thursday from 2:30-3:30 in the library. All students are welcome.
