Teacher, Civics and Economics

I grew up in Wilmington, Delaware, but have called Arlington home for more than 25 years. I live here with my husband, our two adult sons and our dog, Cady. (She is named for Elizabeth Cady Stanton and Acadia National Park in Maine, our family’s favorite place!) Being near water always makes me happy. So does reading and being with friends and family. My passion for teaching, government, politics and history began when I was in the 8th grade and realized that even though I could not yet vote, I still had a voice. I became a teacher so I could help others learn how to speak up in their own communities. After teaching at Gunston and Williamsburg, I am excited to be here at DHMS.
