How do I see grades and homework?

Student gradebooks and class websites with homework can be viewed using ParentVUE and StudentVUE. Students can login to the StudentVUE app in their school iPad.

Families and students can use a browser. Directions are here: ParentVUE from laptop

Families and students can use use the app on a mobile device. Directions are here: ParentVUE App

The APS iPad will not connect to WiFi at home. What should we do?

Students must login to the GlobalProtect app and HUB app while at school. Directions are as follows: If it is a GlobalProtect/VPN issue it usually means students did not enter their password into the GlobalProtect app and click sign in or they did not sign in to the Hub app while at school. Students must sign in to both apps at school in order for the GlobalProtect VPN to activate at home.  When they open GlobalProtect they click “Tap to Connect,” enter their password (their SID is auto-populated) and click “Sign In”  – keep clicking until the screen turns gray or blue.  When they open HUB – click “Always Allow,” type in their username, check the circle by “Save Username,” enter their password and press “Sign In.” Select “I Understand” then “I Agree.”

What should we do if a student has a technology issue?

We encourage students to take ownership of reporting any issues. Please go to the Dorothy Hamm web site, click on the Technology Tab and choose Student Technology Help Request. Students must be logged in to their Google drive to submit a request. The Instructional Technology Coordinator (ITC) will address the issue remotely, send directions to the TA teacher or meet directly with the student to resolve the issue.

What happens if an iPad breaks?

Please go to the Dorothy Hamm web site, click on the Technology Tab and choose Student Technology Help Request. Students must be logged in to their Google drive to submit a request. The Instructional Technology Coordinator (ITC) will meet directly with the student or the student can ask a staff member to deliver the iPad to the ITC. iPads are out for 10-15 school days for repair. While waiting for the repair students may use the student laptop in each classroom. At home students can open a browser on any device and go to myaccess.apsva.us, login and access Canvas and Google resources.
